我們運用傳統木榫結構與現代製造技術，比起老孔雀椅更堅固輕巧。
機能方面，調整了座面尺寸、高度與靠背的位置，可從任何角度輕鬆入座，提供更舒適的背部支撐，可以堆疊至四張，方便收納。

Light as a Hirundo, elegantly fly to your home
Crafted with slim and curved lines, the S shaped legs soften the atmosphere in a space, tenderly showing both the power and warmth from the wood. We use traditional joints with modern techniques to make Hirundo lighter and durable.
The amended proportion and sizes make it more comfortable to sit at any position and provide a better support on the back. It is designed to be stackable with 4 chairs for storage. With harmonious and relaxed
characters, the appealingly designed Hirundo can be pleasantly stay around anywhere at the entrance, living room or dinning room.

每一張燕椅，最後皆由手工刻製細修，一氣呵成的曲線，從椅腦頂端順著側稜線，滑向後腳與後方精實的微弧面相接。燕椅，提供的不僅是基本的舒適乘坐機能，你更可以用身體與指尖親自感受由雙手完成的美妙手感。
Crafted with curve of fluency and serenity
Every piece of Hirundo chair is carefully handcrafted to present its beautiful line sliding from the top of backrest to the ridge line on each side and down to the curved surface on the back legs. Hirundo is not only a chair but also gives you a pleasure sense of tactility that is accomplished by hand.

我們從設計草稿至親手製作樣品，並與30年經驗、位於台中專門製作椅子的木器廠協作，最後再由我們親手雕琢，用指尖細磨感受每一道弧線與面，確保到你的手中，也能感受同樣的舒適手感。

We design and make prototypes, and collaborate with a chair factory in Taiwan. Eventually retouch and refine by our hand to ensure every detail and curve is in good shapes and we know you can also feel it.
燕椅，獲IFDA旭川國際家具設計大賽入圍肯定
1990年開始，三年一度的「 IFDA 旭川國際家具設計大賽」，每一屆僅取總件數的前 3% 進入決賽。2017年是 27 周年，也是極具紀念性的第十屆，燕椅從全世界 683 件作品中，成為最終 25 位的入選者。在2017年6月的旭川設計週與同年11 月的日本東京國際家具暨家居用品展展出。 我們一方面感謝IFDA的肯定，一方面也很感動，這次的入選證明了台灣的文化元素一樣能登上世界的舞台，我們從燕椅開始，讓世界一步一步地看見，台灣這塊土地也能誕生出全世界都會愛上的美麗家具。
Shortlisted at 2017 International Furniture Design Award (IFDA)
IFDA is held every three years since 1990. In the year 2017 when it came to its 10th iteration. Hirundo was awarded shortlisted out of 683 competitors from the world and exhibited both in Asahikawa Design Week and Tokyo Interior Lifestyle Living. We appreciate the great honor from IFDA and are proud that Taiwan design could stand out and be seen on the global competition.

燕椅的設計啟發 Inspiration of Hirundo Chair
一張即將被丟掉的老椅子，讓我們更想為臺灣保留自己的文化記憶
第一次認真凝視老孔雀椅，是在外婆家。那是一批即將被丟掉的椅子。媽媽說，那是外婆的嫁妝，爾後也變成外婆家的餐椅。根據長輩的記憶，這是一種40年代左右出現的老椅子，設計者已不可考。人們通稱它為「孔雀椅」或「福州椅」，當時家家戶戶都有幾把，很多人持續使用至今。這是台灣人惜物愛物的性格，也是一種保存記憶的方式。
當年，大家還坐在方正厚重的明式椅上時，出現了這樣一把台、日、洋混血風格的椅子 (如左第一張照片)，用料大幅減少、圓椅面、弧形椅腳，帶有中式風味的簡約穩重，拿起來卻很輕便，可以到處放置使用。在40年代，的確成為一種獨特新穎的潮流。
「原來，在台灣的過去有這麼好的東西，其實都默默地被一群惜物愛物的人們保存下來，我們想要慢慢地把它找出來。」
於是乎，經過12個月的細細琢磨造型，根據現代的技法重新設計結構，為了各種生活情境的想像去調整細節，一把傳承了孔雀椅靈魂的新椅子就這樣誕生了。我們以燕子為其命名，一方面希望表現它重生後輕盈俐落的樣貌，一方面希望它能帶著燕子象徵的幸福好運，飛進每一位台灣人的家中。
An old chair that was going to be discarded drove us to keep our culture and memories for Taiwan.
It was at my grandmother's house where I met the old peacock chairs and they were going to be thrown away. 'Those were my mother's dowries and were served as our dinning chairs' my mother said. According to their memories, this type of chairs can be seen in many people's house back in 40's. The designer or the first craftsman who made it was untraceable. It has a name called 'the peacock chair' or 'Fuzhou chair.' There are still few models that was kept well until now. It shows that how the folk cherish their goods and memories.
At the time, when most people are sitting on the square and heavy Min style chairs, a chair with fusion characters with Taiwanese, Japanese and European appeared in the the market. With less material, rounded seat, curve lined legs, it is steady and simple, and light enough to carry around. The peacock chair became one of the most seen furniture at that time.
"Knowing the old chair led our journey to reveal and cultivate our story in Taiwan."
After 12 months design and constantly refinements, a new chair that inherits the old peacock chair released. It is named Hirundo as it represents blessing and happiness with an image of lightness and modern style.
